String Return Desk compares your current master with the returned localization table by key. It highlights source copies that differ, missing and orphan keys, blank targets, and mismatched simple placeholder names/counts. Review the queue, then export an HTML, JSON or CSV report.

Source changes are suggestions for human review. A translation may still be correct.

One local file

Extract the ZIP and open the HTML utility in a desktop browser. Choose two files or paste their text. No installation, accounts, uploads, external scripts, fonts or analytics are used. Original files are never modified, and reports never rewrite translations.

The free ZIP includes reusable fictional CSV/JSON tables, a manual return checklist, and static HTML/JSON/CSV reports. It cannot analyze your own files. Open the worked HTML report to inspect the workflow before buying. The sample data may be reused in personal and commercial projects.

Supported inputs

UTF-8 comma CSV with the key header first, or an array of flat JSON records with string values and identical field names. Both files need the same named source column; the returned file must keep the source copy the translator received. Unique case-sensitive keys only. File inputs preserve decoded line endings; pasted or edited CSV uses browser line endings.

Maximum per table: 2 MiB, 5,000 data rows and 32 columns. Up to 16 selected target columns. Cells: 20,000 UTF-16 code units; keys: 160. Reports stop at 20,000 findings and mark themselves partial. The onscreen queue shows up to 200 findings per filter; exports contain all recorded findings.

What this review does not cover

No translation-quality, grammar, visual-fit, markup or engine-import validation. ICU, nested braces, format specifiers and detected non-supported token dialects are unchecked. Other dialects may go undetected. TSV, semicolon CSV, nested JSON, XLSX and Godot plural/context schema are unsupported.

No findings means only that the selected supported checks found none. Have a human review accepted strings and test them in your game.

Report text is omitted by default. You may include source/target text explicitly; keys, filenames, headers and placeholder names can still be private. CSV reports protect formula-like cells with a leading apostrophe. Use JSON for exact raw export values.

Your purchase includes version 1.0.0, the guide and examples. You may use, back up and modify this version for personal and internal commercial projects, and share it within your project team. Do not publicly redistribute or resell the utility as a standalone or competing download. Your input files and reports remain yours. Future versions, translation services and custom development are not included. Mandatory consumer protections and storefront rights remain applicable.
